Fleet increase by Embraer.
Cologne, July 2018
German ACMI specialist WDL has selected the Embraer 190 to replace its fleet of BAE146 aircraft and is soliciting offers on pre-owned aircraft for delivery in early 2019. However, CEO of parent company Zeitfracht, Wolfram Simon, stressed that prices need to be affordable. “So far we see a lot of availability coming to the market later this year through 2020, but with prices and lease rates have yet to reflect this reality. We are ready to buy but the price has to be right – our customers are used to the excellent economics of the 146 and we need to align the 190 with that benchmark”.
