The Berliner Zeitfracht Group is expanding its pioneering role on the road. As a launch partner of the new Mercedes-Benz Actros truck series, the company buys a total of 70 new vehicles, which will be put into service from the second half of the year until the beginning of 2020. This investment represents considerable progress in the areas of safety, economy and fuel consumption.
The new model is considered the safest truck on the market. In addition to the latest turning, braking and lane-keeping technology, the new Mercedes-Benz Actros also features a 360-degree camera system that replaces the classic exterior mirrors. These and other innovative solutions offer maximum safety for drivers and all other road users. Fuel consumption is also reduced by up to five percent compared to the predecessor model.
Stephan Opel, Managing Director of Zeitfracht Logistik Holding GmbH, is pleased with the technological innovations: “With the new Actros model, Zeitfracht is living up to its responsibility for road safety. In addition, the new vehicles will help us to make logistics even more efficient.” And further: “Zeitfracht will continue to be a pioneer on the road in the future.”
As a launch partner, the Zeitfracht Group will cooperate with Daimler AG beyond the acquisition of the vehicles. For example, some professional drivers will be qualified together with Daimler to become “driving trainers” in order to ensure that drivers receive state-of-the-art training.
