Cologne, 19 June 2019
WDL Aviation received the third Embraer E190 jet in Cologne. The aircraft will be used in the course of wet lease agreements with established European airlines. It will have the identification D AWSI and will bear the name “Anna – Lisa”.
Walter Böhnke, Managing Director of WDL, emphasizes on Wednesday: “We are proud of the consistency and enthusiasm with which the entire company supports the modernization course it has started. So far, the phasing in has taken place in a record-breaking time. With the modern E190 jets in its fleet, the WDL is ideally positioned for future development.”
The Zeitfracht subsidiary Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter (LGW) also announced at the beginning of May that it would renew its fleet with E190 jets. From December 2019, the regional airline will phase in the first Embraer E190 aircraft. The process is expected to last until autumn 2021.
With the replacement, the management of Zeitfracht Group is focusing on modernising and increasing the efficiency of the company’s aviation division. The E190 jets enable the company to meet the highest quality requirements of customers in the wet lease business.
