The Berliner Zeitfracht Group has acquired the absolute majority of OPUS Marine GmbH. The family business has reached an agreement with the previous co-owner, the Munich-based SFO. In August 2018, Zeitfracht acquired a stake in the shipping company. OPUS Marine owns eight ships and is one of the leading German shipping companies in special shipping with professional expertise in the offshore wind industry.
Bernhard Messer, Managing Director of OPUS Marine, said on Tuesday: “The takeover by the Zeitfracht Group is an important step on the path we have taken together. This provides OPUS Marine with long-term security and the opportunity to pursue the strategy it has developed.”
The Zeitfracht Group has been operating in the logistics sector since 1927 and enables OPUS Marine to offer the entire logistics chain of its products from a single source.
