Berlin, August 3, 2020
The Zeitfracht group of companies has taken over the two Lower Saxony-based companies First Wise Media GmbH and Jöllenbeck GmbH with over 200 employees as of August 1, 2020. The companies will operate under the name First Wise Zeitfracht in the future. Now that all official approvals for the takeover of the two companies from insolvency have been granted, the final hurdles have been cleared. The transition to the Berlin-based Zeitfracht Group is perfect.
The two Lower Saxony companies most recently generated annual sales of more than 150 million euros. Due to the Corona fallout, both had filed for insolvency in May 2020. First Wise Media GmbH currently supplies more than 1,800 online and retail retailers across Europe with electronic products from more than 30 brand manufacturers. This includes computer and video game accessories from the renowned Speedlink brand, which is produced by Jöllenbeck GmbH. As before, First Wise Zeitfracht will be managed by the two managing directors Tim Jöllenbeck and Michael Eisenblätter.
“We are very pleased to add two companies to our group, Jöllenbeck GmbH and First Wise Media GmbH. The business activities of both companies fit perfectly with those of KNV Zeitfracht in media logistics,” says Dominik Wiehage, CEO of the Zeitfracht Group. “We expect significant synergies from this combination. Both companies are – just like Zeitfracht – family businesses. Therefore, the corporate cultures also complement each other perfectly.”
The Zeitfracht Group is a third-generation family business with around 2,700 employees and headquarters in Berlin. The company is primarily active in logistics. This includes Germany’s largest book logistics provider and book wholesaler KNV Zeitfracht, which was acquired exactly one year ago and has developed very successfully economically within a very short time.
