Berlin/Erfurt, November 3, 2020. Zeitfracht Group and Schwarzmüller Group, Austrian supplier of trailers and one of the European market leaders, have agreed on a comprehensive development cooperation. It covers the further development of trailers that are precisely tailored to the requirements of the Zeitfracht Group’s truck fleet.
Specifically, it involves the development of a two-axle turntable trailer that is compatible with swap bodies. Swap bodies ensure maximum speed in container handling at Zeitfracht – one of the companies that invented the swap body. Zeitfracht expects the new development to result in a further significant increase in efficiency in system logistics. In return, Zeitfracht is committed to taking delivery of at least 100 of the newly developed trailers over the next five years.
Dominik Wiehage, CEO of the Zeitfracht Group: “In logistics, you can sometimes achieve a lot with a good idea and a strong cooperation; this approach has already enabled our company to innovate several times. We expect a similar effect from the newly concluded cooperation with Schwarzmüller. Two strong partners have joined forces for this project.”
Roland Hartwig, the CEO of the Schwarzmüller Group, said, “We specialize in providing our customers with customized vehicles that add value. That’s why we’re looking forward to working with the Zeitfracht Group and will bring our full expertise to bear.”
