Cologne/Bonn, 22 January 2021. The Zeitfracht Group is moving deeper into the business aircraft business by adding another Pilatus PC-12 to its fleet. A purchase agreement for the brand-new turboprop aircraft has now been signed with Cologne-based Air Alliance, which markets Pilatus aircraft in Germany. Delivery is scheduled for this summer. The aircraft is already the second business aircraft – unlike the first, it will carry the livery of German Airways. There, it complements the fleet of currently five Embraer 190s and one already delivered Pilatus turboprop.

The new aircraft is a PC-12 NGX and, following its market launch last year, is one of the first deliveries of this enhanced aircraft type. Pilatus is now launching the third generation of the successful single-engine turboprop, which provides up to eight passengers with an extremely comfortable and individualized journey at an outstanding price/performance ratio. Both aircraft are marketed together with the Embraer fleet by German Airways for business and private charter flights (https://germanairways.com/our-product/charter/business-and-private/).

With the aircraft, Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus has further developed what the company calls “the world’s best single-engine turboprop.” For example, the new type features an improved engine, smarter avionics and a completely redesigned cabin – for example, with cabin windows that are 10 percent larger. Together with its two predecessor versions, the model has now been sold more than 2,000 times and completed more than seven million flight hours.

The turboprop relies on automatic thrust control, the improved engine features an electronic propeller and engine control system, and the new “Propeller Low Speed” mode enables a significant reduction in cabin noise. The cockpit environment, with an intelligent touch-screen control system, relies on constant control of all functions thanks to the latest technology.

The redesigned cabin interior enables a further increase in passenger comfort – with new, extremely lightweight passenger seats and a redesigned cabin headliner, as well as modern interior trim with leather upholstery and wood veneers.
